Therma-bonder
Therma–bonders were devices used to attach cargo pods to starships. Once the bonders had finished installing a pod they would produce a hissing sound. Therma–bonders were used to attach a sealed cargo pod to Starlady, a Z-10 Seeker scout vessel owned by Debret Nightmoon, after the pilot was hired to deliver the pod by a crime lord named Jarafok, who sent the Quarren Nopan to deliver it.[1]
Behind the scenes
Therma–bonders first appeared in 1995 in the article "A Buyer's Guide to Alternative Starships" which was published in the fifth issue of the Star Wars Adventure Journal series of supplement books for West End Games, Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. The article was written by Stephen Luminati and included two short stories to illustrate some of the ships mentioned. The bonders appeared in one of these, titled "What you don't know…" which gave no information as to what era it was set in.
