The Empire Strikes Back Annual 1981 was a hardcover comic book released in the United Kingdom that reprinted the stories from Star Wars (1977) 46 and Star Wars (1977) 50.
The first story was first printed in the UK in The Empire Strikes Back Monthly 141.
As in almost UK Annual that uses a previous cover, this one shows a retouched version of the cover of Star Wars (1977) 50, featuring cut side edges and darker overall color tone, all because of usual printing needs to make an album format from a comic book.
