A temporary environment pouch was a piece of emergency survival equipment found aboard Imperial space installations. In case of hull breaches, personnel unable to reach escape pods could seal themselves inside a pouch to survive for a short period of time. The artificial environment generated by a temporary environment pouch lasted for twelve hours.
