Usage
Copy the template code below, and paste it into an article's reference note. Fill in as many parameters as you can, remove any that you don't use.
Note that care must be taken to avoid an incorrect link.

Required parameters
|url=
The URL of the page, minushttps://forums.starwars.com/
.|thread=
Title of forum post. Note that it should be capitalized the same way as the original post's title.- For archive link, see Backup links below.
Optional parameters
|author=
Username of the forum post.|date=
Full date of publication, in ISO 8601YYYY-MM-DD
format, for example "date=2006-02-17
".|time=
Time of the forum post, inHH:SS AM/PM
format, for example "time=04:01 PM
".|quote=
Relevant quote from forum post. Double-quotes will be added automatically.
Unneccesary parameters
|nolive=
As the original online content is no longer available, the template will automatically add "content now obsolete;" to the citation, and therefore does NOT require the use of "|nolive=1
" like with other citation templates.

Instructions for providing a backup link
In accordance with our Sourcing policy, all links to external sites must include a link to a backup version, preferably using Internet Archive. Instances that do not include one of the following parameters will result in the page being placed in the maintenance category. Please only use one of the following parameters.
Note that for citation templates using a central repository (/Archive subpage), archivedate values must be added to the repository, and not on the individual instance of those templates. |
