Taxel was the name of a group of two Rebel Alliance Gamma-class ATR-6 assault transports that were used as part of a last ditch attack on Station NL-1 during the Battle on the Frontier. Vice Admiral Thrawn's Task force consisting of Nebulon-B2 frigate Ludwick, Platform NL-1, 2 System Patrol Craft, and various starfighters, destroyed both Transports along with their Rebel comrades.

Taxel only appears on "Hard" difficulty in the Battle.
