Taskforce commander, abbreviated as TC, was a command position used by the Alliance to Restore the Republic's Special Forces. Taskforce commanders were place in command of taskforces; they were generally temporary commands for the duration of the mission and were based on ability. Taskforce commander was not a coveted position as the individual was ultimately responsible for the success of the taskforce's mission.[1]
Taskforce commanders were usually of the rank appropriate for the taskforce size. platoon-sized taskforces were headed by a lieutenant, while company-level taskforces were commanded by captains or majors.[1]
