T5-G3

T5-G3 was a labor management droid working within the New Republic's Ministry of Science where it coordinated the tasks of other droids. T5-G3 had been modified by Imperial technicians to operate as an espionage droid. The modifications affected T5-G3's personality, causing a short in the droid's logic dispensor causing it to act in a quirky manner.

Behind the scenes

T5-G3 appeared in the West End Games' 1993 sourcebook Wanted by Cracken, written by Louis J. Prosperi for the company's Star Wars Roleplaying Game. The book uses a separate page with notes identifying T5-G3 for the gamemaster, keeping the identity and nature of the espionage droid secret—an image of a 3PO-series protocol droid is used while the exact appearance of T5-G3 is not shown, despite the physical similarities described for the gamemaster.
