Swarmers were a non-sentient species of insects that were native to the world of Karra. When gathered in large groups, these insects could temporarily blind or deafen anything caught in the swarm by flying into open orifices in the face. The native Karran people had learned to control the insects as war beasts, pitting the swarmers against enemies on the battlefield.
