Sun'il Ei'de/Legends
Sun'il Ei'de was a Bith musician and professional drum player for the popular jizz band known as Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes.[2] In 0 BBY, Sun'il was on stage in Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina during the Modal Nodes' performance of "Mad About Me."[1] Sun'il was also one of the five Modal Nodes that played in the cantina during the Imperial curfew of 1 ABY.[3][4]
Behind the scenes
Sun'il Ei'de is the seventh Bith musician visible on stage in the Mos Eisley cantina sequence during 1977's Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. Barely visible, the seventh Modal Node was the subject of speculation for decades until a picture from the film on the StarWars.com Encyclopedia clearly showed all seven Modal Nodes on stage.[5] The Star Wars Blog article The Star Wars Holiday Special Cantina: Who's Who also identified Sun'il Ei'de as one of the five Modal Nodes who accompany the bartender Ackmena in her rendition of "Goodnight, But Not Goodbye."
