The Duros were among the earliest spacefating species.

Spacefaring species were those capable of traveling in space through the use of starships. According to the standard classification of technological development, it was a characteristic of civilizations having reached at least the information level. Most spacefaring civilizations also developed fusion technology. Some of the earliest spacefaring species included the Anzati, the Bothans, the Devaronians, the Duros, the Gotals, the Ithorians, and the Zabrak. By contrast, the Kaleesh only became spacefaring late in history.
