A sonic bath was a piece of equipment used for personal hygiene. This type of bath was not only cleansing, but also revitalizing and refreshing.
Patch Bruit found that while sonic baths were very useful, they could not remove the film of resinous ore dust that adhered to him while he was in the workplace.
In addition to their personal hygiene use, sonic baths were used by the artisans on the planet Balinaka to help create Garnib crystal. Sonic baths were used in the final shaping of the crystal.[1]
