A sonar mapper was a device that emitted sonar pulses at regular intervals, mapping an area through echolocation. It had a maximum range of 100 meters. It could store 12 hours of readings, but it was not as detailed as a standard sensor pack. It cost 400 credits new and weighed 1 kilogram.
