Solanus's sentient ocean

The planet Solanus was covered in a sentient ocean. The ocean was rich in chemicals, which caused billions of thought processes to occur within its depths. It often kept to itself and contemplated its existence, keeping itself busy by creating and reforming crystal structures. It refused to participate in major galactic affairs and was classified as a super-brain.
