Snowballs were spherical objects made of snow that were often thrown at friends and enemies as a harmless type of weapon. Snowballs were subject to melting, especially on warmer worlds such as Tatooine. Many snowballs were created with the help of Hoth snow machines, a type of snow-maker popular during the time of the Galactic Civil War. Wampas could throw giant snowballs at vehicles.
