Skann was a terrestrial planet[3] located in the Skann system, a part of the Outer Rim Territories' Astal sector.[1] It was inhabited by farmers who grew crops such as Dust-Corn and Dry Gene Wheat. The farmers made the unique beverage Skannbult Likker, which was possibly the most volatile fire-water in the galaxy, from surplus crops, distilling it in rock basins.[3]

The quality of the Likker on Skann varied greatly, with the smaller farmers far from major towns creating the best variety of the beverage. At the Skann spacers' bar, on the other hand, merchants frequently could obtain only quick-brewed rotgut.[3] Kina Margath, the owner of the Margath's entertainment complex on the Quence sector world Elshandruu Pica, managed to obtain a small supply of high-quality Skannbult Likker at some point between 0 ABY and 4 ABY.[4]

Behind the scenes

Skann was mentioned in Galaxy Guide 9: Fragments from the Rim, a 1993 sourcebook written by Simon Smith and Eric S. Trautmann for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Skann system, and therefore the planet Skann, in grid square Q-18.[2]
