Shock field

Shock fields were electrical barriers used for security purposes; anyone who came into contact with a shock field would receive an electric shock. Shock fields were used in conjunction with defense turbolasers to defend public buildings on Emperor Palpatine's throneworld Byss. Reverse-polarity shock fields were used to get rid of mynocks at the Ord Mynock Freeport on Ord Mynock. Additionally, contact shock fields were used in Universal Energy Cages to shock prisoners anytime the cage was damaged in the event the prisoner attempted to escape.
