ShipFinder

The ShipFinder was a subspace tracking device developed by Drooim-Durtha Systems. Drooim-Durtha contracted engineer and hyperspace expert Neb Ufentes to create the device. After several prototypes, Ufentes succeeded in creating a small device with a power source capable of broadcasting its signal for 20 light-years.

Before Ufentes could send his final refinement to Drooim-Durtha, his lab on the edge of the Corva sector was raided by the crime lord Mahk'khar. Ufentes was killed and Mahk'khar stole the prototypes. After Mahk'khar's capture by New Republic forces, the devices fell into their hands.
