Shifting Gears was a short story by Jean Rabe slated to appear in Star Wars Adventure Journal 17, but was cancelled. In the story, a rebel mission led by a Human and a Zarian goes awry on Vengler. In the meantime, C1-EZ8, an assassin droid, infiltrates a rebel spy network on Tatooine.
