Shield (Ta-Ree spell)

Shield was a Ta-Ree spell capable of being wielded by Ascendants on the planet Kathol. The spell allowed the caster to generate a shield comprised of Ta-Ree energy around their body which gave the appearance of encasing the Ascendant in a topaz-colored crystal. The shield could repel both energy and physical objects, and was an effective counter for many of other offensive Ta-Ree spells such as shadowstrike.

Ascendants who wished to cast the spell were required to know the boost senses and psychokinesis spells.
