Scissors (tactic)/Legends

"One on your tail, Renegade Seven! Scissor right! Scissor right!"

The scissors was a timed maneuver aimed at bringing an attacking starfighter into the sights of the defending craft during a dogfight. The move, consisting of sharp, twisting turns, was generally executed immediately after the attacker overshot during a head-to-head engagement or following a successful breaking maneuver. This tactic was fairly difficult to time and required constant monitoring of one's opponent.

During the Battle of Derra IV, Renegade Four ordered Renegade Seven to scissor right to avoid a pursuing enemy fighter.
