A satellite was an object in orbit of another object, typically a planet. They could be natural, in which case they were normally called moons, or artificial, as in the case of such devices as Communications satellites and DOKAWs. Coruscant was ringed with artificial satellites, many of which fell from orbit due to disrepair when the Yuuzhan Vong occupied the world.
