Sand bear

Sand bears were a species of bear that were native to the world of Kallistas. They typically attacked settlers, though this would never occur near the planet's cities. The pirate Jondrell Inx stained some of his clothes with sand bear blood, pretending it was that of his hostage, Cressis Linrec as a threat while demanding a ransom.
