Roy Dotrice (May 26, 1923October 16, 2017) was an actor who voiced Obi-Wan "Ben" Kenobi in Episode IV: A New Hope Read-Along Storybook and CD, a 2015 audio release of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope with accompanying storybook.

Dotrice was a versatile actor whose body of work spans over a hundred productions dating back to the late 1950s. His credits include the role of Jacob "Father" Wells on the 1980s CBS production of Beauty and the Beast and Father Barrett on Picket Fences.[1]

Dotrice was also known for his role in voicing the characters in the audiobook adaptations of the hit series A Song of Ice and Fire.[2] He had also voiced the narration for recordings of other Disney titles such as The Little Mermaid[3] and Beauty and the Beast.[4]

Dotrice died on October 16, 2017, at the age of 94.[5]
