"Road to Mandalore" was a song authored and performed by the band Red Shift Limit. Referencing[1] the planet[2] Mandalore in its title, the song was featured on the band's compilation album Thoughts from the Core. Officially banned by the Imperial Board of Culture for its anti-Imperial content, the album was available in the galaxy by the time[1] between the years 0 ABY and 4 ABY.[3]
Behind the scenes
"Road to Mandalore" was first mentioned in Galaxy Guide 9: Fragments from the Rim, a guide intended for use with West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game system. Galaxy Guide 9 was written by Simon Smith and Eric Trautmann and was published in 1993.[1]
