Rior was an astronomical object[3] located in the Rior system, a part of the Outer Rim Territories' Tamarin sector.[1] The Riorian murderer Stalnus,[3] who was born in 68 BBY,[4] hailed from Rior.[3]
Behind the scenes
Rior was mentioned in the 1993 West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game supplement Wanted by Cracken, which was written by Louis J. Prosperi.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Rior system, and therefore the celestial body itself, in grid square N-18.[2]

- ↑ Wanted by Cracken is dated to three years after the Battle of Endor, which The New Essential Chronology dates to 4 ABY. Therefore, the events of Wanted by Cracken translate to 7 ABY. In addition, Wanted by Cracken states Stalnus is seventy-five years old. He must have therefore been born in 68 BBY.
