A raccoon was a type of creature with a black mask across their eyes.[1] In 3.5 ABY,[2] when the Wookiee Chewbacca disguised himself as the bounty hunter Snoova as part of a plan to infiltrate Black Sun leader Prince Xizor's fortress, his disguise gave him a raccoonlike mark across his eyes.[1]
Behind the scenes
Raccoons were first mentioned in Steve Perry's 1996 novel Shadows of the Empire.[1] In the real world, raccoons are omnivorous furred mammals with bandit-like masks across their eyes.[3]
