RCS-6

The RCS-6 was a flight control computer designed by Miradyne Limited. It was installed on the standard models of the Imperial assault gunboat, otherwise known as the Cygnus Spaceworks Alpha-class Xg-1 Star Wing.
The RCS-6 (like all RCS systems) was notoriously difficult to modify due to a rigid set of inter-connectivity protocols. Non-standard personal modifications often failed to work. The problem was exacerbated by Miradyne's bankruptcy. Since replacement parts became extremely hard to come by, any breakdown in the RCS-6 system had the potential to be catastrophic.
Miradyne went out of business two years after the RCS-6 was released.
