"It's not so bad… I ran into tougher customers during the Quesaya Border Conflict."
―A former Galactic Republic rocket-jumper[4]

The Quesaya Border Conflict took place in 4007 BBY[1] and shared its name with the Quesaya system, situated near the edge of the territory that was well-explored by the Galactic Republic.[5] The conflict saw the participation of the Republic's Rocket-Jumper Elite Advance Unit. The rocket-jumpers fought bravely during the event,[1] which became known as one of the unit's legendary exploits.[6] When a former rocket-jumper who had fought in the Quesaya Border Conflict became involved in a confrontation[4] seven years later,[7] they noted that they had faced a fiercer adversary during the former conflict.[4]

Behind the scenes

The Quesaya Border Conflict was introduced in the Tales of the Jedi Companion.

The Quesaya Border Conflict was first mentioned in the 1996 roleplaying game sourcebook Tales of the Jedi Companion, written by George R. Strayton and published by West End Games for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[4]

The conflict was originally meant to be mentioned in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart; however, the section that would have mentioned the event was cut before the book's release. The information regarding the Quesaya Border Conflict was later released in 2014 as part of Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare Author's Cut, a series of articles published on the StarWars.com Blog by Fry and[1] Del Rey editor[8] Erich Schoeneweiss containing various cut content from the book.[1]
