- ―Quay novelty toy
A white plastic sphere twenty-three centimeters in diameter, the Quay novelty toy, was a "pre-programmed prognosticator" containing a selection of stored generic answers on a voice chip. One simply asked the Quay a question, and the reply would boom out in a loud voice. The Weequay believed that they were actual physical connections to the Moon God Quay, and would consider the answer as though it was of divine origin.
Three Quays were found by Dawson for sale on Kabal. It was used by the Tynnan demolitions expert in improvising a trap in the rescue of Cecil Noone from hunter Tyro Viveca.
Behind the scenes
Quays are based on the real-world Magic 8-Ball toy.
