Quanton
- "The Imperial Security Bureau has developed many types of truth serums over the years. Bavo Six is a nasty one, and easy enough for Imperial chemists to produce. I had it used on me when I was captured on Quanton."
- ―General Airen Cracken, Cracken's Rebel Field Guide
Quanton was a terrestrial astronomical object[3] located in the Quanton system, a part of the Obtrexta sector[1] in the New Territories portion of[2] the Outer Rim Territories.[1] During the Galactic Civil War, Rebel Alliance General Airen Cracken was captured by the[3] Imperial Security Bureau[4] of the Galactic Empire on Quanton. Cracken was subsequently subjected to the truth serum Bavo Six and later mentioned both his capture and his experience with Bavo Six in the Cracken's Rebel Field Guide, a datafile he had composed that documented various pieces of equipment utilized by Rebel Alliance agents.[3]
Behind the scenes
Quanton was first mentioned in the 1991 sourcebook Cracken's Rebel Field Guide, which was written by Christopher Kubasik for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Quanton system, and therefore the celestial body itself, in grid square K-4.[2]
