QT-3PO

QT-3PO was a protocol droid. Shortly before the Battle of Yavin, in 0 BBY, QT-3PO and its master set down in Mos Eisley on the planet Tatooine in their freighter. While the freighter was being repaired, QT-3PO wandered off to explore, but was forcibly abducted by the Jawas of Nebit's clan at blaster-point. There, QT-3PO observed Jawa society and the interior of their sandcrawler.

The sandcrawler later recovered two other droids in the desert—C-3PO and R2-D2. By this point, QT-3PO had been extensively damaged. Shortly after C-3PO and R2-D2 were sold to the Lars family, QT-3PO was discovered and purchased back by their master, who paid the Jawa's asking price. QT-3PO later reported on his experience with the Jawas.
