"It's Traut's promise ring. It was on his left hand—on the arm that you cut off. But how did it end up in my stew?"
Zak Arranda interrogates Galt[1]

Promise rings were worn on the second-to-last finger on the left hand as a symbol of marriage. They were made of numerous metals. The smuggler Traut wore a silver promise ring. While he was on Dagobah, his arm was amputated by The Children who used it in a stew. Zak Arranda realized the cannibalistic nature of the Children when he found Traut's promise ring in his bowl of stew.
