The Pressure Plate Trip was a detection device produced by Zone Supplies, Ltd.[1] The device was activated when it detected a minimum amount of pressure applied to its surface. This amount was adjustable and could be used to detect personnel and vehicles.[2] It came in two sizes; the small version was 30 square centimeters and weighed 300 grams, while the large was one square meter and weighed a kilogram. The pad could be rolled up when not in used, and had adaptors to connect the plate to a variety of defensive measures, including alarms, blasters, and bombs. It was supplied in a variety of colors for camouflage purposes. Standard issue to the forces of the Imperial Military, Imperial standard procedure was to cover the plate with a shallow layer of dirt or available appropriate material to assist in disguising the plate.[1]
