A political officer was a member of the Imperial Military assigned to oversee the continued political loyalty of other officers.
Lieutenant Suba was the political officer aboard Darth Vader's flagship, the Star Dreadnought Executor, responsible for ensuring the Imperial loyalty of his fellow officers.[1]
