"There's nothing like trying to blast out of Mos Eisley, then your ship decides it's ready for the junkyard."
―Okeefe complains about her freighter[1]

Pok's Demise was a freighter owned by the smuggler Platt Okeefe. Her Twi'lek friend, Tru'eb Cholakk, helped secure the finances for the ship, which Okeefe named after her former boss at the Klatooinian Trade Guild, Pok Nar-Ten. He had sold her into slavery for failing to pay her debts.

Okeefe crashed Pok's Demise into the Dune Sea while picking up cargo from Mos Eisley, Tatooine. Some local scurriers had entered the ship, drawn by the scent of glaze cakes, and gnawed on the ship's wiring. This caused damage to her ion drives and shield generator, which Okeefe failed to notice on take off. She was being chased by bounty hunters, and so failed to run a systems check.

The ship crashed into the Dune Sea and was further damaged; its ventral gun mount and underbelly sensors were scraped off. Okeefe resolved to sell the ship as scrap to Jawas in order to raise funds to purchase a new starship.
