Poet/Legends
A poet was someone who made up poems and rhymes. They were held in high esteem in tribal cultures where they were usually shaman or medicine men.[source?]
When in the depths of despair and exhaustion after witnessing Force visions of the death of Padmé Amidala and confused about his role in the Clone Wars, Anakin Skywalker recalled Obi-Wan Kenobi telling him of a poet he had once read. Though he could no longer recall the exact line from the poet that Kenobi had quoted, he remembered it as being something along the lines of "there is no greater misery than to remember, with bitter regret, a day when you were happy."[1]
Males of the Gamorrean species wrote love poems for their spouses during winters on their homeworld Gamorr. The Human Sebastin Onyx worked as a translator for the mostly illiterate boars such as Guth to support himself financially.[2] Gamorrean poetry was also read nightly in Hutt-style chuba cantinas in the Mirrsteel Heights towers on the Kwenn Space Station in Hutt Space.[3]
