A Pigment-cloud missile was a type of projectile used in starfighter mock duels. They would either have weak charges or filled with paint which would create a cloud. This allowed pilots to participate in duels without losing their lives.
During Red Flight's diplomatic mission to Adumar, they refused to engage any challenging flightknives that didn't have weakened lasers and pigment-cloud missiles.
