"Permission to Think" was a song authored by the band Red Shift Limit and included on the band's compilation album Thoughts from the Core, where it was followed by another track titled "Permission Denied." The album had been released by the time[1] between the years 0 ABY and 4 ABY.[2] Due to Red Shift Limit spreading an anti-Imperial message through their music, the song was banned by the Imperial Board of Culture.[1]
Behind the scenes
"Permission to Think" was first mentioned in Galaxy Guide 9: Fragments from the Rim, a supplement to West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game that was written by Simon Smith and Eric Trautmann and was published in 1993.[1]
