Paralysis beams were a type of immobilizing beam, based on gravitational technology like repulsors that held prisoners in place. During the mission to Vorzyd V, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and two other Rebels were captured by Lord Cronal and held by paralysis beams while being interrogated for information.
