Palace Security
Palace Security was the security detail of the Imperial Palace under the New Republic government. It was led by Colonel Jak Bremen.
History
In 9 BBY, several Imperial Intelligence agents entered the Palace attempting to kidnap Leia Organa Solo and her children Jaina and Jacen Solo. The agents dressed in Palace Security uniforms, however, they were discovered by Mara Jade who alerted General Garm Bel Iblis and Lando Calrissian. General Iblis alerted Palace Security and firefight ensued during which all the agents were killed except their leader, Major Molo Himron. During interrogation, Himron fingered Mara Jade as the person who had let them into the Palace. Colonel Bremen had Jade placed under house arrest. She was later freed and absolved. Additionally, Colonel Bremen and his second, Lieutenant Machel Kendy were attempting to discover the mysterious Delta Source that had been able to breach Palace Security and transmit secret information to Imperial Grand Admiral Thrawn. With help from Leia Organa Solo, Winter, and a slicer named Zakarisz Ghent, Palace Security was able to stop Delta Source which was Ch'hala trees growing in the Grand Corridor of the Imperial Palace.
