Oxygen extractors were devices capable of separating oxygen from the surrounding atmosphere, or from subsurface water deposits. Depending on the design, some extractors were capable of extracting the oxygen from atmospheres consisting primarily of ammonia or methane. Oxygen extractors available on the market included Vercanne Mineral Technologies' FOE-2000, and Gandorthral Atmospherics Oxidizer.
