Ordnandell was a planet in the galaxy.
History
During the Galactic Civil War, there was a shipping accident in hyperspace near Ordnandell, which delayed some spacers in their work. A Corellian freighter, referred to as the something or other Falcon dropped its cargo to escape an Imperial boarding party.[1]
Behind the scenes
- "Remember when you had to take the long way around to get to Ordnandell? Well it turns out that there was a shipping accident in hyperspace. Some Corellian freighter, the something-or-other Falcon, dumped its cargo to escape an Imperial boarding party."
- ―A Gamemaster explaining a situation to their players
This planet first and only appearance is the first edition rulebook of West End Games's Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, designed by Greg Costikyan and published in October 1987.[1]
While Ordnandell originated from an official source,[1] Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, revealed during discussions about The Essential Atlas Online Companion that the planet was dropped at Lucasfilm request to avoid confusion with Ord Mantell.[2]
