Nutrient paste or food paste was a bland, tasteless foodstuff eaten as emergency rations. They were kept aboard the Millennium Falcon. Han Solo despised them, but was forced to eat them while trapped on Orleon by "Jabba the Hut".

Due to its efficiency, Silas Tagge regarded food paste as a grand achievement of science and preferred consuming it rather than meat.
