Imperial Admiral Conan Antonio Motti served as the head of Navy Operations aboard the first Death Star. Motti held this title prior to and during the Galactic Civil War, which began in 2 BBY. Zi Sturgist officially acted as the Navy Operations Chief, but was in reality just an underling of Motti.
