NPR was the first broadcaster of the 1981 Star Wars and 1983 The Empire Strikes Back radio drama adaptations.
Several Star Wars–themed programs were aired in 2005 during the run-up to the release of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, including an interview with composer John Williams, reviews of the movie, and more.
