"Nathan, who is sixteen now, the first word I think he learned was 'Kenner'."

Nathan Elias Hamill (born June 25, 1979) is an artist who was a cameo in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace and Saile Minnau in Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi. He is the son of Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill.

Biography

During the filming of Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, Mark Hamill was accompanied in Finse, Norway, by his wife Marilou, who was several months pregnant. In anticipation of a premature birth, the Hamills had brought medical supplies and a giant teddy bear with them. Nathan was born early on the Monday morning on which his father was meant to play a scene in which Luke manages to grab onto an electronic weather vane after emerging from the underside Cloud City. Despite having stayed up all night, Mark Hamill arrived on time at the set to film his fall from Cloud City onto the exterior of the Millennium Falcon.[2]

He made one cameo appearance in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. In an interview with the Star Wars Insider magazine, Hamill referred this character as "Rehtul Minnau", a name which was later canonized in Teckla Minnau's entry in the StarWars.com Databank, albeit not confirmed to be the same character.

Hamill illustrated sketch cards for the 2009 Topps Star Wars Galaxy Series 4 trading card set.[3]
