A mineral spotter[1] or mineral sensor was a scanner designed to detect minerals.The Industrial Automaton Multi-Environment Mining Droid MEMD-2 utilized mineral sensors to detect mineral deposits for mining operations.[2] They were also used by scouts to perform scans on planets. Deeve, of the Bureau of Scouting and Exploration Services, used one of these, along with other items, while on a mission.[1]
