The Maxca system was an isolated star system in the Brak sector, located in the Expansion Region. During the Galactic Civil War, the Rebel Alliance's Brak Sector Force began construction on a secret base in the system to act as a safe fallback position in case any main Alliance bases in the sector were compromised.
