The Manticore was a Strike-class medium cruiser belonging to the Empire. It was scheduled to be repaired at Depot XLS, but was attacked by Rebel B-wing starfighters intending to destroy all the capital ships while they were at their weakest condition.
Behind the scenes
Whether or not Manticore gets destroyed depends on the player's actions in Star Wars: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter.
