Maelstrom (Immobilizer 418 cruiser)

The Maelstrom was an Immobilizer 418 cruiser under the command of Grand Admiral Demetrius Zaarin.

History

Zaarin sent the Maelstrom, along with TIE Avengers and TIE/D Defenders to destroy the lead ship of Task Force Whirlwind, the Immobilizer 418 cruiser Whirlwind. The attack was thwarted by Tan Maarek Stele and the Maelstrom was destroyed. It did stall the task force long enough to prevent the Whirlwind from playing out the role it had in trapping Zaarin's attack force that were attempting to capture Missile Boats. Maarek Stele was sent to prevent the convoy from falling into Zaarin's hands.
